I will stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
